AngelsTat2

As part of my growth journey, I’ve been looking back at projects that really shaped my storytelling voice. One that stands out is my 2023 collab with AngelsTat2. His artistry gave me the perfect excuse to play around with hyper-stylized editing and push myself outside my comfort zone.

That project taught me so much:

  • I got to test out bold techniques I’d only ever thought about before.

  • I learned how much fun collaboration can be when both sides bring their creativity to the table.

  • I was reminded that storytelling isn’t just about cool visuals — it’s about culture, identity, and voice.

  • And honestly, Angel tipping me for the video meant the world. It was one of those little moments that made me feel, “Yeah, this has value. I’m on the right path.”

Another big reason I pushed into this project was because, at the time, there really wasn’t anyone in our area doing this kind of work. These days, there are so many talented people who focus on specific aesthetics — and many are doing it better than what I pulled off back then. But the lack of it in that moment motivated me to give it a shot and explore something fresh for our community.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t end up pushing hard in this exact direction. But even so, this project became part of the foundation of who I am as a storyteller. It gave me confidence, new tools, and the reminder that growth comes from taking risks, even if you don’t stick with every path you try.

I’m grateful for that opportunity, and even more grateful for where it’s led me since.
